As mycologist and philosopher Paul Stamets famously said, “We are all children of the mycelium”.

Mycildren, conceived of by Dr. Kostas Alexiou, professor and former co-founder of electronic jam band Papadosio, was created as medicine for the soul. Inspired by sounds and cultural traditions ranging from the pulsing dance music scenes of the Mediterranean and Central America, yogic philosophy, and his midwestern roots as a guitarist, mycildren’s unique sound is as weird as the town in which it was conceived: St Petersburg, Florida.

Mycildren symbolizes music as a node in a network of culture; for healing, for release, and for connectivity. Weaving together elements of electronica with the organic vibrations of guitar, analog synthesis, and ecstatic chanting featuring yoga legend Jessica Irene Mihm, mycildren's uniquely St Pete sound of "medicinal mushroom house" has been born.
