Spelling Bee for Grown-Ups! Fundraiser

Coastal Creative 2201 1st Ave S, St. Pete, United States
(Map)

Join us Friday, April 17 for the Literacy Council of St. Petersburg's Spelling Bee for Grown-ups Fundraiser!

(Note: While our participants will all be grown-ups, our Bee will not include profane words. But, more importantly, there will be plenty of adult beverages!)

The Spelling Bee for Grown-ups will feature 10 pre-registered teams of 2 to 4 adults attempting to spell a wide selection of words with varying degrees of difficulty.

A judge is on hand to … well … judge the teams.

Team Registration is $120 (per team, not per person!)

Note: When you click on "Registration & Tickets," select "Team Registration," enter the information for your team captain, enter your team name, and then pay the $120 registration fee for the whole team - and boom! You're registered!

Not sure of your spelling skills? Buy a general admission ticket for just $15 and watch the fun.

Audience members are invited to drink and snack while cheering on the spellers and maybe even helping out your favorite team by purchasing a "spell" option. Sound like fun? It's un-bee-lievably entertaining and all for a good cause!

And we're looking for sponsors!

Honey Bee Sponsors, Killer Bee Sponsors, and one Queen Bee Bar Sponsor. Click on the "Register & Tickets" button to learn more.

The Literacy Council of St. Petersburg’s vision is an educated community of lifelong learners that is well-prepared to meet the challenges of the economy and society. Without the ability to effectively use the written and digital information in the world around them, individuals are unable to help themselves, their families, their friends and their colleagues. We believe that the ability to read is an essential element of an enriched and fulfilling life.
